The new Iftar ripping up the rule book

Not content with serving us delicious food over the course of Ramadan, Iftars are now going one step further - and by further, we mean out to sea.

The Queen Elizabeth 2 ship will open an Arabian-themed Iftar throughout the Holy Month that combines traditional Middle Eastern flavours with a royal service experience. How exciting.

Think fresh salads, hot and cold mezze, an abundance of delicious desserts and selection of classic Arabic juices and coffee.

Diners can choose to sit in the brand new Lido restaurant or in the air-conditioned Arabic majlis on deck, which will serve a wide selection of shisha.

The buffet opens from sunset until 9pm and is priced at Dhs250 per person, Dhs125 for children below 12 and complimentary for children below four.

Unique, quirky and totally original. We're on board - literally.
