In the spirit of Ramadan, joining with detergent brand OMO’s monumental nine-year ‘Share a Touch of Love’ clothing-donation campaign is none other than DXB-based dry-cleaning app, Washmen.
In case you’d missed it, ‘Share a Touch of Love’ is one of the largest clothing-collection drives in existence (so say the Guinness World Records), with a laundry list of objectives; one of which being to encourage people to donate and provide hope to those in need. Through this initiative, Washmen aim to gather unwanted clothing to distribute to the less fortunate as a way of giving back and being more conscientious.
Considering Washmen’s foray into eco-friendly territory with their recycling program aiming to collect, recycle, and reuse all home plastics and paper alongside their orders, it comes as no surprise that the app continues to delve into ethical progression with this donation campaign. And when better to do it than in the most giving and mindful month of the lunar year?
Hoping to take part? Here’s all it takes:
- Make a Washmen order through the app
- Gather your laundry in a Washmen bag, and set a pick-up time
- Et voilà. Along with your laundry, Washmen will collect your unwanted clothing for donation
