The lazy girl's guide to nailing Dubai

It’s all-too easy to conjure up the motivation to get on top of your to-do list only to be sucked into a new Netflix series instead. After all, who has time for laundry when Jay Z is letting loose to Letterman? Panic not, these five easy hacks will make all the difference to your week, minimal effort required...

GET HEALTHY WITHOUT LIFTING A FINGER

It’s boat season and we don't know about you, but we have our new Zara swimsuit to squeeze into. Bit of an issue, though. A few naughty, late-night Deliveroo sessions and a Ladies' Night thrown into the mix and we've reached Thursday with nary a healthy morsel passing our Coachella Coral-stained lips. Enter Smith St Paleo, the food-delivery service with a twist. Founder Holly Smith has jumped on the paleo food wagon – a low-carb diet focusing on good fats, proteins and fresh produce with no additives. But don’t expect grilled fish and bland rice, nor endless calorie counting from this meal plan. Instead you can indulge in waffles with blueberries and maple syrup for breakfast, turkey burgers for lunch, shepherd's pie for dinner and crumbly cookies for an afternoon snack – all guilt-free of course. The only real effort required is answering the door. And with plans starting from Dhs550 per week, you’ll actually get more bang for your buck than you would if you were ordering in every day.

THE MINIMAL-EFFORT MANI

Busy, lazy, whatever you want to call it, if it means we have to leave the house mid-week then chances are we’ll pass. But what if we told you you could watch The Affair and tick talons off your to-do list at the same time? Book in with the Dial a Nail girls, who'll rock up to your door with a suitcase full of polishes and everything else that's needed to give you a knockout mani/pedi. Forty minutes later and - voilà - you’ve got perfectly preened fingertips without, well, lifting a finger.

LAZY LAUNDRY

Hands up who misses their mum’s washing? Nothing quite beats the soapy smell of freshly washed sheets, does it? Well, instead of flying mum out to do the laundry – we’re sure she’d be thrilled – app sensation Washmen will come and do it for you. Fill a Washmen bag up to the brim and for Dhs49 all your laundry will come back washed, dried and folded two days later. And while you’re at it, throw in that Ganni silk skirt that's been floating around your laundry basket for weeks, as they also offer a dry-cleaning service too. If that doesn’t revolutionise your week then we’re not sure what will.

THE BUM-AROUND BLOW-DRY

If your hair's looking good then everything else tends to fall in line, are we right? So if you were to have one splurge a week, we'd make it a wash and blow from the glam squad over at Blowout&go. Although it does rule out you being able to make any “I’m washing my hair” excuses.

HAIR OF THE DOG

You haven't seen it all 'till you've witnessed a popping-pink van parking up outside your front door to give your pampered pooch his or her very own wash and blow. Mobile dog-grooming company, Shampooch offers your precious pup the A-Z of pampering without you having to leave the house. Now, where can we find a decent dog walker?
