We owe a lot to the men who work tirelelessly to construct this beautiful city we live in. So we're overjoyed that homegrown digital marketplace Noon has taken it upon itself to give back to them in the kind of big, fat, sentimental way that will bring out the warm fuzzies in even the stoniest among us.
Heading to the labour camps to dish out aforementioned warm fuzzies, Noon interviewed some of these workers about the long hours they put in here to build a better life for their families back home, often spending years here in the UAE before heading back to see their loved ones.
Gifting them surprise return flights so they could get back home for Eid Al Fitr, one of Noon's on-the-ground #BIGheart team observed, "Being part of Noon's Ramadan campaign was an eye-opener and a reminder to be grateful every single day." We couldn't have put it better ourselves. Sob.
Faraz Khaled, Noon's CEO added, "Noon is a local brand, here to change the way things are done. By giving back to the community and listening to local people's stories we hope to reflect the principles that underpin our society, including kindness, compassion and understanding helping to bring about positive change."
Bravo, Noon. Setting an example for us all.
