The programme has established itself as one of the largest photography competitions across the MENA region and is an unmissable opportunity for those looking to break into the field. Since its inception, the program has had over an impressive 250,000 entries, proudly nurturing and fostering photographic talent across and into the farthest corners of the Middle East and North Africa.

Inspired by the theme of “2020 Moments”, this year’s competition invites artists from around the region to capture fascinating moments of the ever-changing world around them, particularly poignant because of the extraordinary way the year 2020 has been unfolding.

And this year’s judging panel will made of none other than two-time Pulitzer Prize-winner and National Geographic photographer (now that’s a CV), Mohammad Muheisen, and, Hussam R. Abdulqader, the CMO of MENA’s largest food production and distribution company, Almarai.

Pro tip: entrants, whether filming on a phone or on a professional camera, are encouraged to use their creative lens to narrate visual stories that best define a world that has been hushed, paused and forever changed following recent events.
