If you were planning to go to Mykonos this summer, we have good news and bad news. Banksy, George Condo, Kaws, Damien Hirst and Jeff Koons were set to take part in an exhibition at the HOFA Gallery Mykonos. Then 2020 happened. Undeterred, London-based digital arts investment platform Artcels have partnered with HOFA Gallery to bring the exhibition to life online.
We're in for quite the experience: the immersive virtual exhibition will showcase artists in a 3-D, interactive, HD virtual show. Dubbed XXI, the project will be staged at HOFA Gallery in Los Angeles, launches on 4 May and will be the the first-of-its-kind to feature the world's most talked about and controversial contemporary artists. Other leading international artists include Retna, Daniel Arsham, Anthony James and Joseph Klibansky - just to name-drop but a few.
Artcels Co-Founder, Elio D’Anna, said: "It’s the very first time an art portfolio of this calibre has ever been presented as a virtual exhibition, and we’ve used the latest capturing and rendering technologies, guaranteeing a true-to-life experience. During this difficult time, we are hoping this exhibition will bring some relief to those in isolation and be a bright spot to all art lovers across the globe.”
And for those wishing to invest in the work on show, Elio adds “XXI, was carefully selected for its high-yield potential. Our goal is to ensure that our investors receive great returns and more importantly, can continue to enjoy their art investments through these new virtual exhibitions, especially during the pandemic."
