His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai is continuing to make our streets a brighter place as part of an initiative to turn our beloved city into an open-air museum. Last year, local and international artists decorated Jumeirah with over thirty murals and now it’s parking meters that are getting an upgrade.

Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office, teamed up with the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) to create the Parking Meters Project as part of the #DubaiSpeaksToYou initiative. They’ve enlisted six artists to revamp 100 parking meters in the city with artwork inspired by diversity and tolerance.

#DubaiSpeaksToYou was created to reflect Dubai's unique character and tell its story as one of the world’s most culturally diverse cities while bringing art closer to the community.

Keep your eyes peeled – you can spot the made-over meters in Jumeirah, Dubai Media City and Al Mustaqbal Street.
