Dubai Design Week is back to celebrate regional creative talent

Dubai Design Week is returning this week for its fifth edition.

Taking place in Dubai Design District (d3) from 11 to 16 November, the event which focuses on architecture, interior design, product innovation and graphic design will see exhibitions, installations and workshops inhibit the space.

The event will also see the Global Grad Show, a collection of 150 graduate projects from 100 universities around the world.

And while the event which is held under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is the Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, aims to celebrate and nurture regional talent, international names like architect Zaha Hadid and Atelier Swarovski will also be returning for another year as part of the Downtown Design trade fair.

Other highlights include Abwab, the annually reworked exhibition dedicated to commissioning work from across the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia to promote design talent, and the Dubai Culture Creative Lab, a hub that offers live demos and collaborative drop-in activities.
