Seeing the dancing fountains; selling one’s soul to luxury fashion; and getting in at least 8 hours of walking in a single day – all things one goes to Dubai Mall for. Now, seeing the Dubai Mall parking lot will also merit a visit of its own.
Dubai Mall’s newly opened retail expansion, Zabeel, has now been revamped with colours, calligraphy, and illustrations. 52 murals have been created across seven floors of parking by local artists and designers around the theme of transportation.
The project is part of real estate developer Emaar’s Art Emaar initiative, which commissions public art pieces across the company’s properties.
eL Seed’s Declaration artwork at Dubai Opera and Fernando Botero’s bronze sculpture of a horse in the Palace Downtown’s courtyard are previous projects commissioned by Emaar.
The projects were made possibly with the help of Art Painting Lab, an art service provider which commissions in-house artists for client projects.
