No weekend plans yet? Searching for an activity that combines culture, extreme sports and the breathtaking scenery? Kayaking at Louvre Abu Dhabi is finally back - with new safety measures implemented, of course.
And to be honest, after months of staying in, it's exactly what our soul (and Instagram feeds) need - not just because of our obsession with kayaking under the stars. You can book tours from July 31 and have a whale of a time (sorry, not sorry), cruising the still Arabian at either sunrise, or full moon.
The 60-minute guided tours will be navigated around the museum by professionals and trust us, Louvre Abu Dhabi will take on a whole new experience from the moon-lit glistening waters as you learn about the museum's architecture.
If you've never done kayaking before, don't fret. Tours are open for everyone, with no prior experience required. A professional instructors will accompany you and you'll be given a safety and paddle briefing prior to the tour.
And don't forget to bring your own towel and water bottle (it's a must)!
For a safe and comfortable experience, Louvre Abu Dhabi has set the following in place:
- 2-metre social distancing measures with marks set to stand on at the experience prep area.
- There are 10 seats available per trip.
- Only single kayaks are available unless you are a family, in that case, double kayaks will be provided.
- Payments should be made online prior to the tour. Only guests with confirmed online booking will be able to join the trip.
You can go on a tour every day (except for Mondays) at 5pm, 6pm and 7pm for Dhs126 per person over the age of six. Note that children between the ages of six and 12 have to be accompanied by parents or guardians.
