This exhibition is calling us out on our biggest addiction

Time to disconnect from your phone and reconnect with everything else

In a world of likes, followers and endless hours of scrolling, it’s easy to lose sight of what’s important. Luckily, our favourite online art gallery, EMERGEAST, has taken it upon itself to do something about it through an altogether more creative approach.

Entitled Let’s Take a Moment, the gallery has centred their upcoming exhibition in Dubai around living in the present by encouraging taking a break away from our screen and everything within it to truly connect with our surroundings.

Most of our efforts go into finding new artists we believe are going to be the shapers of the Middle Eastern art scene,” co-founder Nikki Meftah tells Grazia. “We’re trying to advocate art collecting for the youth and show everyone that it’s not as scary as they think.” The misconception behind art collecting is something EMERGEAST tries to dismantle by offering something for everyone with prices across the board.

The exhibition will be taking place at Molecule Restaurant in d3 on 28 November at 7.30pm with a party to kick off the celebrations, then be on display at Molecule from until 4 December.

For those of you unable to make it, you can visit the website here to browse the collection and shop.
