Contrary Life: A Botanical Light Garden Devoted to Trees is, well, exactly that. Created by Kuwait-based artists Alia Farid and Aseel AlYaqoub, the installation has taken over the roof of the Jameel Arts Centre, transforming it into a magical glow-in-the-dark garden full of artificial trees.

Created specifically for the Jameel Arts Centre, the light-focussed installation highlights our relationship with the natural world and replicates a botanical garden. The spot makes for a great family night out or a place to stroll with your S.O, and we have no doubt we’ll be seeing some amazing photos lighting up our Insta feeds.

  • The garden is open daily 10am-8pm and is on display until the 17th August. For more information, visit the Jameel Arts Centre website here.
