Bad news if you had plans to enjoy the UAE in the great outdoors this week

Wet and windy weather looks set to continue across UAE this week.

The National Centre of Meteorology has announced that more bad weather is on its way, following heavy rain showers and light thunder in many areas including Sharjah, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah on Saturday night.

Abu Dhabi Police took to Twitter to ask drivers to be extra cautious on the roads, and warned that reckless driving will result in a Dhs2,000 fine, 23 black points and vehicle impoundment for up to 60 days.

Similarly, Dubai Police has also issued a warning to drivers to reduce speed during the heavy rain to avoid any accidents. “Dear drivers, Reduce speed during heavy rain to avoid any hydroplaning,” it shared on Twitter.
