Dubai's Walk of Fame will soon be open to the public

Dubai's Walk of Fame will be open to the public from Sunday, 20th October.

Located on Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard in Downtown Dubai, the attraction is being billed as a “walkable tribute, honouring the world's exceptional achievers who have left an indelible mark on the world".

When the project is complete, 10,000 stars in total will decorate the walk, including stars for actresses Margot Robbie, Priyana Chopra, Shilpa Shetty and Zhang Ziyi and tennis star Serena Williams.

Currently 400 celebrity stars have been announced, and Dubai-based beauty mogul Huda Kattan, Lebanese designer Elie Saab and Liverpool footballer Mo Salah are among those who have been awarded stars on the walk.

To celebrate the occasion and mark one year until Expo 2020, Mariah Carey will be performing alongside Hussain Al Jassmi at a free concert at Burj Park this Sunday.

And while the Emirati singer has already been revealed as a recipient of a star, pop legend Mariah doesn’t feature in the 400.

No time like the present…
