Never managed to scavenge your way to Burning Man? Fret not, the next best thing in desert wellness festivals is right on your doorstep.

Dawaran festival first launched in 2019 as a one-night event and due to popular demand, is now back and better than ever. Fans will have the opportunity to camp out in the Ras Al-Khaimah desert from 20 - 22 February.

While you can just haul a tent over yourself, there are also glamping options available at a fee. The ‘Trippy Treehouse’ is priced at Dhs1,500 for two which features a double bed, fan and balcony, and the ‘Dome Sweet Dome’ and ‘The Rococo Dome’ are igloo-style lodgings… perfect for the desert.

Aside from a legendary line-up of DJs including Youssef Abouzeid, globe-trotting big time DJ Manfredas, and Dubai-based DJ Shadi Megallaa, there are other creative and spiritual activities for you to partake in. Think tie-dye workshops, yoga and sound-healing sessions, art installations, and relaxation stations.

  • Tickets start from Dhs275. For more information, head over to dawaran.me.
