Algerian Actress Lyna Khoudri to Star in Wes Anderson’s New Film

What’s more iconic than a Wes Anderson film? A Wes Anderson film set in 1950s Paris starring industry heavyweights Tilda Swinton, Timothée Chalamet, Léa Seydoux, Adrien Brody, Kate Winslet, and Bill Murray.

And if you thought that was iconic enough, think again; Wes Anderson’s latest film will also be starring up-and-coming French-Algerian actress Lyna Khoudri AKA winner of the Orizzonti Award for Best Actress and nominee for the Cesar Award’s Most Promising Actress category. Casual.

Shot in and around Angoulême in France and titled The French Dispatch, the film centres on an American newspaper, and has been described as a “love letter” to journalism. The film will see Khoudri play a student activist who also happens to be Timothee Chalamet’s love interest (we're jealous).

The French Dispatch will be Khoudri's first big Hollywood moment, but we have a feeling it won’t be her last.

True to form, Anderson has kept many of the details about his tenth feature under wraps, but we can all assume it’ll be a multi-storyline visual masterpiece.
