Artists from around the world are joining forces tomorrow, Tuesday 8 September, in a star-studded virtual concert called The Sound of Beirut to raise money following last month’s devastating blast. Regional artists like Maya Diab, Ragheb Alama, Khaled, Massari and Hamaki will be joined by international superstars Bebe Rexha, The Chainsmokers, French Montana, Alan Walker and Craig David, alongside many more. Now that's a line-up!
The artists will perform and share live messages in support of Lebanon and viewers can donate throughout the show, with proceeds going to Global Aid of Lebanon. The Sound of Beirut will be available to stream on the Anghami app - a Lebanese streaming app and the first streaming platform in the Arab world - from 9pm.
Anghami has been extremely active in its support of those affected by the explosion. CEO Eddy Maroun commented "We stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters impacted so heavily by this tragic explosion." The event will also be broadcast on Lebanon TV at 9pm in Lebanon and Saudi Arabia.
In the UAE, VOX Cinemas is live-streaming the event tomorrow at 10pm in three locations - Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Mirdif and Yas Mall. Tickets are priced at Dhs50.
