Hands up if you’ve expended considerable amounts of energy screaming instructions at bizarrely unwitting characters on your TV screens. Us too. Many an unfortunate ending could have been avoided had we been part of the show (because let’s be honest, we’ve all thought about it).
Well, our hopes may soon become a reality with Netflix’s new take on traditional entertainment.
The streaming service is currently working on a one-off, choose-your-own-adventure-style episode for Black Mirror’s upcoming season, with a few other live-action interactive shows already being planned too. It only makes sense for Black Mirror to kick off this curious new tech.
"The stories that branch off from the main narrative of Black Mirror will be more complex,” reports state, “Though it remains to be seen just how complicated the show will be."
While the actual logistics of the feature have yet to be revealed, we can already be sure it’ll involve some sort of depressive devolution of mankind, no matter your choice of ending. After all, this is Black Mirror we’re talking about.
