Sharjah Art Foundation has launched an exciting series of film screenings in partnership with Habibi Collective, an online film archive that honours the work of women filmmakers from the Middle East and North Africa. The award-winning short and full-length narrative, documentary and experimental movies by female artists from the Arab world will be screened online in the month ahead.

Each programme in the series focuses on a diverse theme, mapping different traditions and explorations of feminist narratives throughout filmmaking in the area.

"On 12 June, the programming consists of a narrative feature film, while on 26 June, the series explores the use of oral histories and archival materials in MENA female filmmaking, looking particularly at films that offer alternatives to mainstream histories,” Sharjah Art Foundation reveals. Save the dates, Grazia girls!
