Sharjah launches its first drive-in cinema with a powerful message of inclusivity

Black Panther (2018)

Tonight the lights go down at Sharjah's first a drive-in cinema at Aljada with a range of diverse films from comedy classics to action movies, and family favourites in both Arabic and English.

With a limited capacity of 150 cinemagoers, tickets are available on  a first-come, first-served basis, following the social distancing and safety measures required. Visitors should arrive 10 minutes prior to showtime and you will find allocated parking slots according to the size of your car, before tuning into 87.7 on your radios for the cinema audio. 

Crazy Rich Asians (2018)

The fun starts tonight on 1 July at 8pm, with the superhero classic The Avengers, screened at the family entertainment destination Madar at Aljada. The following day at 8pm will be a screening of Crazy Rich Asians. On 3 July, the whole family can enjoy the classic film favourite, Toy Story, and you get to end your week Marvel-lously with Black Panther on 4 July. For those who enjoy Arabic movies, the Egyptian comedy Zaki Chan will be shown on 5 July. 

Zad Food district at Aljada

Hungry? Not a problem. The new drive-through district, Zad at Aljada offers 17 different outlets serving everything from popcorn to burgers and even caters for vegans. Cinemagoers are encouraged either to order prior to their arrival or via the menu on the website.
