Ever since Jennifer Aniston posted that group selfie on Instagram, rumours have been swirling that a Friends remake is on the cards.
And now it looks like our predictions (and hopes and dreams) are coming true and everyone’s favourite ‘90s six-piece are reuniting for a once-off TV special.
The show which starred Courtney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer aired for 10 seasons from 1994 to 2004, and has been available to stream on Netflix in recent years.
And while various members of the cast and the show’s creators Marta Kauffman and David Crane have vehemently denied that the show would ever come back, The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that talks to get a reunion show off the ground are underway.
According to the report, the unscripted reunion special will air on HBO Max, the new home of Friends from July onwards.
The streaming service outbid Netflix in a $425 million deal that secured Friends streaming rights for the next five years.
And if Jen’s Instagram activity is anything to go by, it looks like we could be seeing a lot more of the gang.
