Get your cultural fix at this new Abu Dhabi festival

Home to the historic Qasr Al Hosn fort, the Cultural Foundation, the National Consultative Council, and the House of Artisans; the Al Hosn site in Abu Dhabi is nothing short of a venerable bingo sheet of the city’s most amazing cultural experiences – especially true now that the district is home to an immersive new cultural festival.

As a revival of Abu Dhabi’s rich heritage, the Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi, has launched the Al Hosn Festival.

If ever you’ve wanted a museum to come to life, Al Hosn’s offerings will be most welcome. The Qasr Al Hosn area will feature immersive storytelling, and re-enactments of the lives of those who worked in the palace in the last century.

The House of Artisans will host workshops around everything from burqa design, to dyeing and printmaking, to traditional Emirati performances like Al Ayyala and Al Naham.

Combining tradition with modernity, between the two landmark buildings of Qasr Al Hosn and the Cultural Foundation, the open area will be activated with immersive art pavilions, music performances, retail and culinary offerings, and open-air film screenings programmed by Cinema Akil and Chaiwala.
