The first season of Al Shindagha Days has just kicked off at the recently renovated Al Shindagha neighbourhood, and it’s set to be a veritable revival of Dubai’s history and heritage.
Here’s what you can expect:
Take a walk down Dubai’s memory lane in the Al Shindagha Museum, which will be hosting museum tours to teach guests about Dubai’s rich history.
Al Shindagha Door Exhibition will teach visitors about Emirati craftsmanship, showcasing traditional doors which were previously used in the old buildings of Al Shindagha.
A perfume trail will be held for guests to discover the story behind iconic Emirati fragrances.
As if that’s not quite impressive enough - Emirati tourism company Meet the Locals will also be offering a host of other activities including a live Emirati cooking station, a date tasting station, an ‘etiquettes of Arabic coffee’ session, henna design and more.
Installations, experiences and workshops steeped in tradition will permeate the festival, with labels like Tamashee, The Zay Initiative, and Gumash Studio in participation.
And in true Dubai form, a light and sound show will be held daily alongside live performances. If that doesn’t have you sold, we don’t know what will.
