Airbnb wants to send you on a sabbatical to the Bahamas

Ever thought of taking a trip to the Bahamas? Well if you have a couple of weeks to spare its officially time, as Airbnb in partnership with The Bahamas National Trust is looking for five volunteers to quit whatever they are doing and come with them on an all-expenses paid, eight-week long trip to the Bahamas.

In support of revitalizing the country’s rich natural resources and preserving the rapidly changing ecosystem, the participants will be exposed to three different islands Andros, Exuma, and Eleuthera from 1 April to 31 May, 2020.

During the Andros leg of the trip, volunteers will help towards restoring coral reefs destroyed by constructing coral nurseries. Meanwhile in Exuma, ethical fishing practices by a coach awaits you. Lastly in Eleuthera, you will be promoting traditional agriculture together with Omar Mcklewhite, a master gardener, who will teach techniques and help establish a bush tea farm.

If you’re over the age of 18 and live in an eligible country - the UAE being one of them - then nothing's stopping you from signing up for this trip of a lifetime. Airbnb is open for applications until 18 February, 2020, and all you have to do is fill out the online application form and sign up here.
