A kaleidoscope of cultures came together to make history on a recent Emirates flight as one of its A380 aircrafts took off with more than 500 passengers from 145 nationalities on board, subsequently breaking the Guinness World Record for carrying people of the "most nationalities".
The flight marked the 48th UAE national day and the UAE Year of Tolerance and was indeed an impactful initiative to showcase UAE’s spirit of unity and inclusivity.
During the flight, the aircraft passed over all seven of the emirates of the UAE, a further nod to togetherness and a feeling of tolerance among those of different backgrounds.
Passengers were encouraged to come in their national dress, and to top it off, the plane was decorated with a colourful and bespoke ‘Year of Tolerance’ livery, showcasing a panorama of people from diverse backgrounds and cultures to celebratrate the UAE’s message of multicultural strength.
The aircraft is now set to fly to over 50 destinations over the next twelve months, to further spread messages of tolerance and mutual respect to wherever it lands.
