Just in case you needed another reason to visit Mykonos this summer...

Opening at the end of last season, Nammos Village (a small cluster of boutiques located behind the famous Nammos restaurant; a jet-set hotspot for the rich and famous) is now home to no less than three new designer pop-ups.

First came Oscar de la Renta which opened at the beginning of May in the form of a 300 square foot whitewashed traditional Cycladic building showcasing the best of its Spring 2018 collection. Fancy. It now also stocks the Audrey Hepburn-inspired Oscar de la Renta x Morgenthal Frederics sunglasses, along with an exclusive capsule collection comprising tunics, kaftans, palazzo pants, swimwear and towel ponchos influenced by the Greek beach town itself.

Up next is Loubi Beach, Christian Louboutin’s Mykonos summer pop-up that came about after the designer himself fell in love with the island’s famously fabulous holidaymakers. Its interior celebrates the party vibe of the much-loved island, reinventing some of the Maison's iconic symbols of the Maison. Think footwear displayed on a red background outlined with graphic red neon lights on a combination of pink and white shelving.

From pumps to sneakers, clutches to backpacks, you can now walk the cobbled streets of Chora in the finest red soles around.

Last to join the luxury pop-up brigade this month is none other than Maria Grazia Chiuri of Dior, who may well have produced her most lust-worthy collection to date.

Set against the azure blue of the Med, the new Dior shop evokes the traditional white architecture of Mykonos and is the perfect backdrop against which to wear tbe brand's exclusive new Mykonian-inspired pieces. “J’Adior Mykonos” is inscribed into knitted striped bodysuits and cashmere sweaters to be worn with Maria Grazia Chiuri’s iconic pleated tulle skirts. Perfect attire for the windy Greek isle.

For a more subtle nod wear the exclusive signature on a silk twill scarf or cotton stole, or go all out and buy the tote of the season embroidered with the name of the island. Bracelets, sandals and ballet pumps have been woven with “Christian Dior Mykonos”, and these - as well as the suncream pouches, Diorclub visors, baseball caps and berets - will no doubt be a big hit with the fash pack this summer.

If you needed another excuse to go to Mykonos this summer, now you’ve got three.
