On Friday, Saudi Arabia celebrated the launch of its tourist visas with a huge celebration in Riyadh, to mark the occasion.
The visas will open up tourism to the Kingdom, and will cost SAR440 (Dhs431).
The visas are available to 49 countries, including:
- New Zealand
Tourists will be able to obtain a 90-day e-visa that allows multiple entries to the Kingdom.

Tourists will be able to apply for an e-visa online, at visitsaudi.com or can get it on arrival.
The Saudi Minister for Tourism confirmed at the event, that women would not be required to wear abayas, however, respectful clothing is required.
