As children return to school this academic year, Saudi Arabia has allowed female teachers to educate young boys in primary schools. This is a step forward in cultivating a greater educational environment for young minds in the Kingdom, with regards to the project “The Early Childhood Schools”.
The project serves boys and girls between the ages four and eight over a thousand schools across Saudi Arabia. Women will teach 13.5% of the young male students. According to the Saudi Ministry of Education, this initiative saves millions of dollars. This is one of the many positive steps Saudi has taken towards women within the kingdom. Others being, allowing them to drive, establish their own business and travel independently.
