DUBAI'S NEW HAPPY PLACE

If you like your morning acai bowl served with a side of mindfulness, you could do worse than paying HAPI a visit. The allday diner-cum-community centre in Alserkal Avenue is fast gaining cult status among the creative community, and the man putting the smiles on our faces is male modelturned-celebrity chef Paul Frangie.

“I like the idea of simplicity, and ‘less is more,’” remarks HAPI founder Paul Frangie

Speaking to Grazia, he reveals, “I felt there was a lack of affordable, good-quality food, served fast.”  But he didn’t stop there, adding movement spaces for parkour and yoga to the menu too. “I believe we are a unique concept in Dubai – combining good food, mindful exercise and an in-house pain relief, energy and digestion expert.”

HAPI mixes locally sourced ingredients with heart-warming wholesomeness, including chargrilled chicken and a falafelsamosa hybrid veggie burger in a toasted brioche bun. However, its standout success story is the organic bone broth – a nutrient-rich, clear soup made by lightly simmering bones that improves digestion and gut health, reduces inflammation and enhances energy for those unfamiliar with the clean-eating craze of the moment.

However, not content with just being the It-eatery in town, Paul’s mission is to ensure us Dubai denizens become the very best version of ourselves thanks to partnering with Parkour DXB and Urban Yoga Dubai with holistic help from Balanced Body Mind. “Everything we do here at HAPI reminds the community that good food, mindful exercise and active leisure are important. We hope that our passion and the quality of food as well as our commitment to mindful movement inspires the community to live better.”
