Here's how you can dine like British royalty at JA Hatta Fort Hotel

With the birth of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s baby fast approaching, Dubai’s JA Hatta Fort Hotel has chosen to celebrate in the most appropriate way possible – with a traditional British picnic.

According to the hotel, for only Dhs299 at The Queen's Picnic you can dine like 19th-century royalty surrounded by picturesque mountain vistas and lush greenery... all without the famously terrible British weather. This ever-so civilized package is perfect for both a romantic date or a fun family day out.

You don’t need to be staying at the hotel to partake in one of these elegant picnics, but should you wish to spend more time taking in the beautiful scenery, the hotel offers deluxe accommodation from around Dhs575 per night.

Located in the serene mountains of Hatta, you can choose to relax with a mocktail, a dainty cucumber sandwich, a scotch egg, or even some Alice in Wonderland salmon Wellingtons. How quaint!

Then for dessert you can enjoy an authentic afternoon tea-style cake stand of pastries, Eton mess and delicate Victoria sponge cake. All diets to be swiftly postponed.
