HH Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum leads the 10 million meals donation drive

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai announced the launch of 10 Million Meals. A campaign providing the low income and underprivileged community in the UAE with food supplies amid the COVID-19 outbreak and in time for the Holy Month of Ramadan.



"Providing food for everyone, especially with the approach of the holy month of Ramadan, is our priority during our battle against the pandemic," said Sheikh Mohammed.



The country’s largest community campaign will be led by Her Highness Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum, wife of the Vice President and Ruler of Dubai. "The campaign will be under the supervision of Sheikha Hind Bint Maktoum. She is the closest and noblest to care for this humanitarian campaign in these exceptional times," stated Sheikh Mohammed.

Sheikha Hind said, "Feeding the hungry throughout the holy month of Ramadan allows us to practise compassion and kindness in this blessed month to overcome exceptional times united in peace."

"The 10 Million Meals campaign aims to reinforce social solidarity and cohesion in the UAE to enable us to emerge from the global crisis stronger," shared Sheikh Mohammed. "The public, private and humanitarian sectors are united today to empower our people to overcome the global crisis without leaving anyone behind," he added.

Want to make a donation to the 10 million meals campaign? Here’s what you can to do:


1. Purchase meals directly on the campaign website here.

2. Send an SMS with the word Meal00 to the following numbers:

SMS 1034 for Dhs8
SMS 1035 for Dhs40
SMS 1036 for Dhs160
SMS 1037 for Dhs500

One meal costs Dhs8.

3. Make a direct bank transfer or deposit to the 10 Million Meals campaign bank account: Dubai Islamic Bank, IBAN number AE430240001580857000001.

4. If you’d like to volunteer a helping hand or donate food supplies directly, you may contact the 10 Million Meals helpline on 8004006.
