We love that venues across Dubai are supporting this worthy cause, not only spreading awareness of the disease, but also raising funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure.
First up is La Cantine du Faubourg, which is hosting a Pink Brunch on 20 October from 12pm till 4pm. The urban French eaterie will donate a percentage of its takings to organisations including Pink Caravan, Emirates Red Crescent and Islamic Affairs & Charitable Activities.
Next, exclusively for the month of October, Executive Pastry Chef Wolfgang Wagenleitner is transforming his famous Floral Afternoon Tea, in association with luxury florist Forever Rose, into a Forever Pink Afternoon Tea at Raffles salon.
Think savoury items such as chilled herb poached prawn salad with elderflower jelly, creamy avocado and orange segments as well as rose shaped brie mousse and edible flowers.
The selection of delectable pink pastries including lavender honey macarons with a pink marzipan ribbon and pink orange lollipops are beautiful. Wash it all down with pink-blended herbal variations such as the rose tea. Wow.
The afternoon tea is available daily from 2-7pm and is priced at Dhs290 for two. Dhs5 from each afternoon tea will be donated to Al Jalila Foundation to support Brest Friends, along with Forever Rose donating 5 per cent of proceeds made from all in-store and online purchases from its Pink Panther collection during the month of October, starting from Dhs840.
