This edgy Mexican restaurant is where you'll find us this weekend

News just in: a ridiculously vibey Mexican restaurant has just opened in DXB.

La Carnita has been locally designed with the help of some of Toronto’s best street artists, and is officially Grazia's new favourite spot to enjoy tacos and drinks.

Atmosphere is so important when it comes to eating out, and La Carnita - which hails from Canada and has set up a home-from-home in the InterContinental Dubai Marina - really gets it right. Casual, creative and contemporary, it's everything we could want and more.

Kickstart activities with tortilla chips with dip. Tip: don't choose one, order all three (guacamole, corn salsa and spicy bean and smoked queso).

Street corn with chilli powder and tempting tacos such as the In Cod We Trust (cod with lime crema, pickled red cabbage, green apple and coriander) make for the perfect main, while desserts feature classic churros or palentas, which are basically frozen, flavoured ice-cream sticks (think key lime pie, chocolate peanut butter and cookie monster). Yes please.

Open daily from 6pm-12:00am Sunday to Thursday, and 12:30pm-12:00am on Friday and Saturday. Visit lacarnita.com or call (+971) 4 425 4030
