"Who fancies getting boujie at the Burj?"... if that ain't a stupid question then I don't damn well know what is.
Boasting a whopping 7 star rating, I think it's fair to say that the Burj Al Arab is the most luxurious establishment on this planet. Who knows, maybe there are even more sumptious suites on Saturn, but I doubt it. And not just because the climate their doesn't lend itself well to sky scraper construction or silk sheets... Or, you know, not bursting into a ball of flames upon entry into its orbit. I've been lucky enough to visit The Burj a few times (fash-un dahhhling) and previously my highlight was the towering aquarium, a reflection on the personal tastes that led me to hold my 22nd birthday at Laser Quest. Instead of at a a nightclub, like a normal person. Having returned to dine at Scape restaurant those feelings have changed.
Sionara stingray. Move over monk fish. Having sampled sea view sundown drinks and scoffed an entire seafood platter to myself at Scape Reastaurant, my aquatic amigos have been relegated to second place... The alive ones anyway. I'm sorry guys, I prefer the freshly grilled lobster on my plate now.
Scape Restaurant has also just launched a new menu inspired by flavourful, aromatic and fragrant dishes of the Mediterranean. Think creamy burrata with basil coulis and balsamic reduction, melt in your mouth lamb chops with wheat semolina, grilled green asparagus, yellow zucchini and lamb jus. And my personal fave, tartare galore!
