We’re not saying there's anything wrong with traditional ice cream flavours (we still love you, bland vanilla), but we’re all about expanding the horizons of our taste buds.
With that in mind, we’re delighted to share with you Scoopi café’s new ice cream and sorbets - which come in flavours of popular Indian foods. We're listening...
The Dubai-based, homemade café is serving Paan, Kacha Keri and Kaala Khatta-flavoured treats from Dubai's South Asian sister - and they're as pretty as they are tasty.
Traditionally, Paan is a mixture of betel leaf nut, coloured sugary balls, spices and desiccated coconut. This ice cream is made combining these ingredients - all brought in from India - using Madagascar vanilla. It's Dhs30 per scoop and serves as a refreshing after-dinner treat. Think about it as an alternative to mints. Yum.
Meanwhile Kacha Keri, which translates to raw mango and is priced at Dhs30 a scoop, is tangy, tempting and super fresh. Finally, Kaala Khatta is a take on the Indian ice lolly, but served up as a sweet and sour sorbet costing Dhs27 a scoop.
Unique and Insta friendly. What's not to love?
