Adopt your very own little furry friend

It is now possible to adopt a beehive! We know, we know. Bees aren’t exactly going to play fetch, or cuddle when you’re upset. On the plus side though, you’ll never have to take them for walks, you’ll get a seemingly endless supply of organic honey, and there’s always that little added bonus of, you know, helping the environment?

As part of programme, My Hive, The Sustainable City (TSC) in partnership with Apiculture and Nature for the Betterment of Health and Beauty (ANHB), purchased 250 new beehives which residents, corporate and government offices can adopt.

Those who adopt will not only receive up to 10kg of honey, but also information on the importance of the humble bumble bee and visits to witness the pollination process, which is excellent news for those of us that got most of our bee knowledge from that one time we watched The Bee Movie on a flight.
