Dubai’s Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management have decreed people can now remove their face masks in the following situations:

  1. While eating or drinking in indoor or outdoor
  2. Driving alone or with family (which remains to three people including driver per vehicle)
  3. Practising physical activities
  4. When alone
  5. Swimming or skydiving
  6. People with specific medical illness

According to the Dubai Media office, “The following categories are exempted from wearing masks: Children under the age of six, people with cognitive, intellectual or sensory disorders that hamper ability to breathe or communicate and individuals who require supplemental oxygen or have severe respiratory conditions.”

The rest of us will be fined Dhs3,000 for not wearing one, so keep yours handy.
