Working out is hard, but necessary… but hard. Sometimes you don’t even know if you’re doing it right, let alone if the latest fitness watch you bought to make yourself work out more is accurately tracking your workout properly. It’s not.
Apple has teamed up with a company called Technogym to make sure your workout is actually worth it. If you’re a statistics and data nerd (who isn’t these days?), then things like heart rate, calories burned, distance, speed and incline will all be tracked and sync directly with your new gym buddy. All with one simple tap.
No more lying to yourself (or your friends) about how you’re still sticking to that New Year’s resolution in April… or not.
It’s not just treadmills either. Other Technogym equipment is set to be retro-fitted with this tech, including ellipticals and indoor bikes too.
Down the line, you can expect to see the technology trickling down to other gyms and fitness brands, including Life Fitness, so we expect to see this tech all over the Middle East soon.
We’re not saying this is going to make us run more, but it’s definitely got us thinking about it.
If nothing else, it's a might be a little more motivational.
