Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA) and Dubai Health Authority (DHA) have announced a price reduction of COVID-19 tests, making the new price Dhs250. The tests have been reduced by over Dhs100 to encourage Abu Dhabi and Dubai residents to take the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) nasal swab tests in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
After Abu Dhabi announced they would slash the cost of the test, the Dubai Health Authority quickly followed suit, saying it would spare no effort to combat Covid-19.

Residents are advised to take the test if they have been in close contact with someone that has tested positive. Any individual that has spent more than 15 minutes with someone carrying the virus must take the test and self-quarantine for 14 days regardless of their results.
PCR tests are available in Abu Dhabi and Dubai at SEHA drive-through testing centres, hospitals and clinics. According to DHA, you can also get a Dhs250 test at the Shabab Al Ahli and Al Nasr Club test centres. Make sure to bring along proof of residency in the form of a passport copy and a valid Emirates ID.
