Dubai has been ranked as the second-best place in the world for driving

The city of superlatives is no stranger to awards. Joining its winding list of accolades is the city’s just-nabbed title of the second-best city in the world for driving.

That’s according to a global survey by French firm, Mister Auto, which rated 100 cities across the globe on their overall quality of driving. Named the 2019 Cities Index, the study took into consideration indicators like road infrastructure, fatality rates and air quality.

Dubai scored a whopping 97.87 out of 100, scoring high on factors like low fuel costs, good quality roads, low congestion and low incidents of road rage. The city comes second only to Calgary, Canada which maintained a perfect score.
