After months of research, Uber has launched its 'Women Preferred View' in Saudi Arabia – a feature where female drivers can choose to only be connected with female riders. It's the first of its kind in the world, and is exclusive to female drivers in Saudi Arabia because of the nation’s female feedback - while 31 per cent of women in Saudi are interested in driving as an earnings opportunity, 74 per cent of them stated they’d only be interested if their passengers were female.

This announcement comes after the launch of Masaruky, Uber’s initiative to celebrate female empowerment and independence as well as provide opportunities and increase women’s participation in the workforce – all while being mindful of Saudi Arabia’s cultural landscape. Bravo Uber.
