This year we have spent more time inside our homes than ever before, giving us some much-needed time to finally get around to decluttering our home, and it seems we aren’t the only ones obsessing over redecorating - #interiorinspo has over 5.6 million posts on Instagram and counting.
So, imagine our excitement when our favourite design duo, Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin of The Home Edit, announced their new show Get Organized with The Home Edit that follows the pair as they tidy up celebrity homes. The duo found fame on Instagram with 1.7 million followers thanks to organising the homes of famous faces including Reese Witherspoon, Khloe Kardashian and Eva Longoria to name a few.
Ahead of the new series, Grazia has rounded up the best space-saving hacks they've shared with us so far. Let’s start with the kitchen…
1. Categorise your fridge with containers
Use containers to store fruit and vegetables in your fridge and make sure to have a couple spare for leftovers or foods that you don’t consume every day. Adding labels to the containers can help organise your fridge better, too.
2. Use glass containers to organise your pantry
Glass jars and containers not only look great, but they help you see how much you have of everything. Store dry items in glass containers to make them last longer, and use taller containers to easily store bulk quantities.

1. Use a divider to dock your devices and chargers to keep them all in one place
Gone are the days of misplacing your phone charger, headphones and any other electronics you have lying around. Clear them up and make sure you can find them easily using this storage solution.
2. Separate your office items
Working from home means, for many of us, our living room space has become the office. It is important to organise our documents and supplies by decluttering and sorting. Go through your paperwork, separate it into to-do, file or recycle. The same can be done with a desk drawer. You'll be amazed at how satisfying the result is!
1. Maximise your shoe storage
To create more space in your closet for your shoes, it helps to stack them up in boxes and keep them organised. Here’s a tip: label each box so you can easily find the pair you’re looking for.
2. Colour-code your clothes and switch out the hangers
You’ll be surprised how different sized hangers negatively affect your wardrobe. Using matching hangers and categorising your clothes by colour can prove to be therapeutic and saves you a ton of space.
1. Utilise your sink space by adding bins and drawers
Store bathroom essentials under the sink by using pull-out drawers and bins and add labels so you know what's what.
2. Save time with an AM/ PM drawer
We all know time is precious, especially when getting ready in the morning. Streamline your routine and organise your daily morning and night-time products with this neat divider.
