The Middle East's first curvy model, Tunisian born Ameni Esseibi is renowned for championing body diversity in the region. Her pioneering work has included starring in campaigns for 11 Honoré, Farfetch, Namshi and Splash plus countless cover shoots and editorials. And this hasn't just helpeed her own career. As Ameni's profile's risen so has the number of curvy models signed by agencies across the Middle East, as has the confidence of her ever-gowing fan base.
Inspiring self-love and body-acceptance is crucially important to Ameni, her latest initiative being an anti-bullying campaign currently making waves on Instagram.
Aiming to raise awareness of the damaging effects words can have, and encourage those struggling to love and embrace their shapes, Ameni released this video.
As she explains, "words can be one of the deadliest weapons one can wield, they also can be used as a balm to inspire, liberate, encourage and heal.”
“No one deserves for a second to feel worthless in this world. Never give anyone the ability to bring you down or allow you to think that you are not good enough. Each and every one of us was placed on this earth with a purpose. Do not be afraid to be yourself because that is what it makes you special.”
