The UAE launches a free mental health helpline

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the UAE set up a national hotline to support mental health of vulnerable people. Ohoud Al Roumi, Minister of State for Happiness and Well-being, stated the coronavirus pandemic has emphasised the importance of assisting those with mental health status. The UAE National Programme for Happiness and Well-being (NPHW) aims to help people with stress, anxiety, and pressure.

Those in need can call the support hotline 800-4673 (Hope) for free of charge or connect with experts instantaneously throughout WhatsApp. Additionally, the service is accessible in Arabic and English.
