Remember when you were 17 years old and you were signing deals for Dhs92 million? Yeah, us too. As it turns out, alternative-pop artist Billie Eilish knows what we’re talking about. Apple TV+ just bought the rights to a documentary of the singer’s life for Dhs92 Million, which will document her life following the release of her debut album When We Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?
The Bad Guy singer’s album was Spotify’s most-streamed album of the year, and she not only walked away with two American Music Awards last month, but she’s also the youngest-ever artist to earn nominations in all four major Grammy’s categories.
Streaming services have been churning out music documentaries since Beyoncé’s Homecoming debuted on Netflix earlier this year – including Travis Scott’s Look Mom I Can Fly and Fyre Festival tell-alls - and Taylor Swift’s Miss Americana documentary (that she was forced to leak) is still to come. It’s no wonder Apple Tv + wanted to get in on the action.
If this is how much Billie’s worth just a year out of the gate, she’s in for a wild ride.
