Not to make you feel like you’re underachieving or anything, but Blue Ivy Carter just won an award for Outstanding Duo, Group or Collaboration at the NAACP Awards. The eight-year-old won for her collaboration with mum Beyoncé on Brown Skin Girl, a track on her album The Lion King: The Gift.
It’s no surprise that Blue is the youngest-ever recipient of the award, therefore it should also come as no surprise that she was the youngest female artist to make the Hot 100 singles chart and to win the Ashford & Simpson Songwriter’s Award at the Soul Train Awards last year.
She’s now a bona fide star – in fact, if you Google her, she’s listed as a singer in her bio. Oh to be the child of a billionaire.
