Gazing upon her makeup-free visage, we’re genuinely unsure whether our hearts will go on (sorry)

Celine Dion’s new message to us: love yourself

From unveiling the unexpected power of an edgy bowl-cut, to revealing the surprising levels of chic a Vetements hoodie can lend, Celine Dion’s unparalleled grasp on how to make a statement is the real reason she’s on the map; prodigious musical capabilities aside.

And it just so happens that she’s done it again. As she belts out the powerful lyrics “I’ve got my own imperfections”, the Grammy 'ward-winning artist is seen wiping away her makeup in the music video for her new single, ‘Imperfections’ as she makes a bold statement about loving yourself.

And although it’s called “Imperfections”, we don’t actually see any. The music video, features Dion serving lewks while recreating a glamorous high-fashion photoshoot, complete with smoky eyeshadow, flawless brows, and glossy lips, and kitted out in couture. Halfway through the video, she begins to remove her cosmetics with a makeup wipe. In the final frame, Dion appears completely without makeup.

‘Imperfections’ is one of three songs released from her upcoming album 'Courage', which comes after the scrutiny her appearance, namely her weight, was subjected to over the last year.

We don’t know about you, but we’re taking a leaf from Dion’s book and building up the courage to bare our own imperfections.
