Girl Power: When Greta met Malala

From Leonardo DiCaprio to Arnold Schwarzenegger, Greta Thunberg is no stranger to celebrity meet-ups.

But her latest one seems to have made the biggest impression, after the teen climate activitst took to Twitter to share that she had met with her “role model”, Nobel Peace Prize recipient , Malala Yousafzai.

In the UK to join a school strike on Friday, Greta travelled to Oxford University where Malala is a student at Lady Margaret Hall college, and took to Instagram to share the event with her followers.

She captioned it, “So... today I met my role model. What else can I say?”

Malala, 22, seemed similarly in awe of her 17-year-old guest, and shared a snap to her own Instagram account. “Thank you, @gretathunberg,” she captioned the shot.

The pair reportedly discussed activism before Greta talked to students about climate change and her decision to stage protests globally.

And something tells us this won’t be the last time the inspirational pair join forces.
