Huda Kattan is loved by the beauty world and beyond and shares her life – good and bad - on reality series Huda Boss, but she just shared an extremely private story about her journey with endometriosis.

The make-up mogul took to her blog to reveal that she was diagnosed with both endometriosis and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) six months ago. For those unfamiliar, endometriosis is a painful condition wherein the tissue that makes up the uterine lining grows on other organs like the ovaries, resulting in abdominal pain and sometimes even infertility. PCOS is a hormonal disorder that results in excess male hormone levels, often leading to excess hair growth and acne.

Huda shares that she was only made aware of her conditions when she visited the doctor for a check-up and they found abnormalities, leading to the diagnosis. The entrepreneur confesses that everything made sense after her diagnosis as she could finally tie her previously unexplained symptoms to a cause, and she can now educate herself – and her daughter who is likely to inherit it – about living with the symptoms.

She also urged her followers to get regular check-ups, especially if they are experiencing symptoms that they can’t explain, so they can put their minds at ease and treat any potential conditions before they worsen.
