When Jennifer Aniston joined Instagram on 15 October, she quite literally broke the internet (well the app anyway).
So far we've been treated to selfies with the rest of the Friends cast and a behind-the-scenes look at The Morning Show star's life, injected with a healthy dose of humour.
"I'm just a girl... standing with hair and make-up. A stylist. A photographer. A lighting crew, wind machine, props, and a computer... asking you to believe I woke up like this," reads one of our favourite captions.
And while there's been much speculation about why she decided to join, it seems her latest interview might have revealed the real reason.
In a recent interview with Glamour, the 50-year-old star who is currently on the promotional trail for her new TV project, The Morning Show, confessed that she often feels isolated from the real world and has to actively stop herself from losing touch.
"I find myself at times isolating. Don't get me wrong, I love being home. Home is a very comfortable, safe space for me. But if you stay home for too long you will become isolated and lose touch with what's going on in the real world," she confessed.
This echoes her previous sentiments about finally feeling the need to get on board with everyone's favourite way of staying connected.
"What you resist persists. It’s something that’s a part of our world now. It’s not going away."
And in a very telling remark, she added, "How you can have a bit more control of the narrative now and right some wrongs and silly things that are said often, is intriguing."
Don't worry Jen, we're here for you.
